Inez Haney Branham

Inez H. Branham, 88, of Columbia was set free from her pain and suffering and went to her heavenly home on Thursday, December 8, 2011. Born in Greenville, SC, on June 21, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Troy Haney and Bernice Mostella Haney Hutto.

Mrs. Branham was a nursing assistant for the SC Department of Mental Health Services, as well as a member of her Senior Citizen Birthday Club.

Survivors include her daughters, Gladys (Fred) Jones of Ft. Pierce, FL, Ann (Larry) Bordeau of Gaston, SC, Shirley (Calvin) Blount of Lexington, SC, Judy Branham of Columbia; son, Troy (Wanda) Branham of Blythewood, SC; brother Carl Hutto of Winnsboro, SC; along with fourteen grandchildren and twenty-three great- grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie L.V. Branham; sons, Larry and John Branham; and two brothers.

A funeral service will be held at 11 o’clock, Monday, December 12, 2011, at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, 5202 Colonial Dr., Columbia, with The Rev. Mark Wendland officiating. Interment will follow at Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 o’clock Sunday afternoon at the funeral home.
