Jack Reynolds

COLUMBIA - A funeral service for Jack H. Reynolds, 94, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Northeast Presbyterian Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel, 4219 Hard Scrabble Road, Columbia, SC 29223.

Mr. Reynolds passed away Saturday, June 11, 2016. He was a son of the late Joe Hunter Reynolds and Irene Ballard Reynolds. Mr. Reynolds was the husband of 72 years to the late Margaret Bolton Reynolds. Following his service in the US Army during WWII, he attended and graduated from Birmingham Southern in 1950. He worked with IBM and later formed his own company, Digitron Inc. Jack was a well-respected boss, who loved his employees, so much so, he was known to grill hamburgers for them every Friday. He loved life, golfing, the beach, cooking, but most importantly, he loved his family.

Surviving are his sons, Rick (Charlene) Reynolds, David Reynolds; daughter, Linda R. Sill; grandchildren, Edward Byron Sill, Lara Elizabeth Sill (Josh Gee), Ashley Campbell, Blair Campbell (Debbie); great-grandchildren, Caroline Sill, Jack Sill, Brody Campbell, and Sadie Campbell. He is also survived by brothers, Bobby Reynolds (Margie), Phillip Reynolds (Shirley); numerous nieces, nephews and his wonderful friends. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Edward Sill. The family extends a sincere thank you to caregivers, Margaret Smith, Ms. Belle, Tosh, Dawn and his niece, Donna for the kindness and compassion shown to Jack.
