Was very sad to learn that David has passed. I have known David for about 30 years and we have always gotten together a couple times a year to chat. He had always done my security and I make all of his decals for him. We even live in the same neighborhood. He stopped by in probably June and was fine. I'd been trying to call him to wish him a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.  Finally decided to do a quick search online and this was the first link I found. :( 



David was a unique person with great talents.  He ran Blackwell Security Systems and had many clients across the state.  He was a past member of the Columbia Twirlers, a square dance club at the Barn.  I remember how delicious his baked goods were.  I also remember how he loved his dogs & am glad they have found new homes.  Our times together were mostly as a group having meals on Thursdays at various restaurants.   We all enjoyed this fellowship until the virus hit in March.   His home and yard were a big hit at Christmas time with lights galore.  He took great pride in lighting up the neighborhood.  David, we wish you rest and peace and will miss you in the coming days.   God bless you!

I am so sry to hear about David. I'm in total and complete shock. I used to talk to him on the phone all of the time. He even took me to my first ever concert. I'll miss him. He was a good friend. He would always call me or text me and check and see how I was doing. 

I was saddened to learn of the passing of my cousin, Davy.  To Alton and family, you have my prayers for the healing of your hearts and my deepest sympathy for your loss.

David was a good hearted, knowledgeable and entertaining man.  We always enjoyed seeing and hearing from him.  He was truly one of a kind and will be greatly missed.
