Joseph R. Fleming

Memorial services for Joseph R. Fleming Jr., 55, of Columbia, will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at Asbury United Methodist Church. Committal services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. Greenlawn Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Fleming passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2010. He was born October 26, 1954 in Greenville, SC and was a veteran of more than 15 years in the U.S. Army. He had retired from the SC Department of Corrections, and was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.

Mr. Fleming is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Un Cha Fleming; his mother, Audrey Southerland Burrell; father Richard Fleming (wife Mary); a sister, Michele Russell (husband Rusty); brothers, Douglas Fleming and Michael Fleming; stepsisters, Kathleen Smith and Sarah Paris; stepbrother, James Fleming; and his nieces and nephews.
