Katherine Sisk

A memorial service for Katherine Mize Sisk, 89, of Columbia will be held at 3 o’clock Friday, July 8, 2011 at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, 5202 Colonial Drive, Columbia, officiated by The Rev. R. Joseph Copeland. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service beginning at 2 o’clock. Memorial donations in honor of Mrs. Sisk may be made to the American Heart Assoc., Ind 520 Gervais St., Ste. 300, Columbia, SC 29201.

Mrs. Sisk died Sunday, July 3, 2011. Born in Pontotoc, Mississippi, she was a widow of the late James “Buck” Sisk and attended North Trenholm Baptist Church.

Survivors include, daughters, Joan (Charles) Contris of Jasper, FL; Betty (Carl) Watkins, III of Columbia; son, Tommy ( Paula) Sisk of Blythewood; grandchildren, Spring, Stacy, Stephanie, Carl IV, Clifford, Tommy, Jr., Eddie, David and Theresa; great-grandchildren, Brett, Collin, Christina, Katie, Clay, Kelly, Kiersten, Laken, Kimmie, Karlie, Taylor, Adam, Josephine, Shannon, Jennifer, Jessica, Michael and Andrew. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Jean Jones.
