Born in Union County, SC, she was the daughter of the late David L. Anderson and Mildred James Anderson. She enjoyed gardening, cooking for her family, and caring for her grand and great grandchildren. She loved her family fiercely and selflessly and she will be missed tremendously.
Surviving are her sons, Johnny Porter and Terry Porter (Silke); daughters, Sharon Spivey, Angela Merz, and Robin White (Steven); 10 grandchildren: David, Krystal, Tina, Miche'al, Anthony, Courtney, Olivia, Austin, Chelsea, and Krissa; and 12 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Terry Porter, Jr., her son-in-law, Ralph Spivey, Jr. and the love of her life, Gus Coutsos, Sr.
The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and hospice staff who cared for her at Prisma Health Richland.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Memorial Gardens of Columbia Mausoleum.
