
CHAPIN – Funeral services for Quincy Carson Bouknight, Sr., 95, will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Faith Presbyterian Church with interment to follow at Bush River Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Faith Presbyterian Church,

Mr. Bouknight was born January 21, 1917 in Irmo, SC and passed away peacefully on Monday, October 29, 2012. He was the son of the late John Bouknight and Ellen Amanda Meetze. Mr. Bouknight was a longtime salesman for Swift & Co. Meat Packing. He was a member of Virgina Wingard United Memorial Methodist Church prior to joining Faith Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Bouknight is survived by his children, Quincy C. (Rebecca) Bouknight, Jr. of Leesville, Johnny T. (Karen) Bouknight of St. Marys, GA, and Lynn (Ron) Homan of Irmo; grandchildren, Glenn (Kay) Bouknight, Gary Bouknight, Guy Bouknight, Gene Bouknight, Sheryl (Richard) Herndon, Rachel (Jeremy) Zoss, Zachery Homan and Wesley Homan; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Martharie (Julian) Haselden of Scranton, Norene (John) Drafts of Lexington, Norma Blanche Evans of Irmo. Mr. Bouknight was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth Kimball Bouknight; son Larry K. Bouknight; brothers, J.C. Bouknight, Heyward Bouknight, Peak Bouknight.
