

COLUMBIA - The Lord welcomed home Bobby Pittman, a wonderful angel, on Wednesday April 18, 2012.
Bobby was born April 11, 1931 in Lancaster, SC. He was the son of Kathleen and Ira Pittman. Bobby spent his teen years in Florence and Myrtle Beach, SC before moving to Columbia where he was very active in the Florence Jaycees and the Jamil Shrine Temple.
As a Shriner he organized the first Clown Unit. Bobby also served as Worthy Grand Patron of The Order of The Eastern Star of SC in 1980-81 and was a Master Mason for over 50 years.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Lynda Pittman; children, Tammy Sumner, Rhonda Bryant and her husband, Keith, Bobby Pittman, Jr.; sister, Iris Jones and her husband, Robert of Savannah; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Bobby will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. He was a wonderful husband, a great dad to Tammy and Rhonda, whom he loved as his own, as well as his son, Bobby Jr. To each of you, thank you for your love and support.

Visitation will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Irmo/St. Andrews Chapel at 5400 Bush River Rd, Columbia, SC 29212. A celebration of Bobby’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 22, 2012 at the same location. Entombment will be in Bush River Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
