Robin grew up on a farm in Shelbyville, KY, the oldest of five siblings, with her mother, Mary O. Jackson, and her father, Eli O. Jackson Jr. She attended Sullins College, and graduated in 1974 from University of Kentucky with a Bachelor’s in Science. She was an active member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority.
Robin is survived by her daughter, Pryor Jackson; son-in-law, Nicholas Essenmacher; and grandchildren, Madilyn Spell, Jack Essenmacher, and Luke Essenmacher. She is also survived by her sister, Emilie Collins of James Island SC; her sister, Rebecca Edwins of Lexington KY; and her brother, Eli Jackson III of Bowling Green, KY.
Robin was a lover of all creatures and a supporter of the arts. She enjoyed shopping for antiques, and she had a tremendous green thumb.
Robin will be remembered for her independent spirit and for how fiercely she loved her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Robin, we hope you enjoy heaven and are reunited with all of the animals and loved ones gone before us.
