Was so sorry to hear of Roy’s passing. We became friends in 1996. I knew him as a very humorous, smart and helpful.

Roy was a dear friend of mine starting when he moved to Charlotte.     He was the sort of person who would do anything possible for someone in need.   Roy has stayed in touch with me for the past few years.  It was always a pleasure to hear his voice on the phone as we fondly reminisced about the good old days such as attending to basketball tournaments & football games!

Sorry to here of the passing of Roy.  We attended Salem school for our entire life and was lifelong friends. It is indeed a sad time when one of your classmate passes, and even more when they were your friend.  Will always remember the times we spent together. He will be missed.

Roy and I played on Coach Waters championship basketball team at Salem HS, 1963-64. We sat on the bench together for the most part, but always in good spirits, enjoyed every game together. I will always consider him and his brother, Major Buff as good friends to me and my family. Major and I talk about Roy often and have missed his smiling face for many years. My prayer is for his permanent peace in the presence of God and a final Judgment for life everlasting. RIP my friend. Newton

Roy was a very good friend in high school. Unfortunately the trauma of the Vietnam War changed him forever. I believe this caused him to make some bad choices. He was in essence another casualty of that war. I remember all the good times we had together, and wish things could have been better for him. 
My sincere condolences to his family and close friends, especially his daughter Adrianne.

I was saddened to hear about Roy's passing. I went to school with Roy, we were in same class of 1965. I remember Roy as outgoing,  and a fun loving guy. Trust God in times of sorrow. Timothy 1:22 I know whom I have believed. My prayers are with you.
