Shirley Jean Ott Owen

She is survived by her daughter, Tina Owen Bradwell and grandson, Owen Allen Bradwell.

Shirley was a Bell South employee for 40 years. She was very active with the telephone pioneers throughout her career. She participated with the Special Olympics Security detail in 1996. She was also involved in her community. Shirley loved the outdoors, where a lot of love and time is evident around her home with the flowers that she loved to grow.

Shirley was a member at Trinity Baptist Church. She raised her family while Tina was growing up at Springdale Baptist Church. She loved her neighbors, her friends and she had a wonderful laugh that was contagious. She enjoyed many outings with her family and made wonderful memories throughout her life. Shirley raised her daughter Tina, and she was the baby she always wanted. Tina had a son and Shirley referred to Owen as her baby grand. She will be greatly missed.

A funeral service for Shirley will be held Friday, October 31, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home - West Columbia Chapel, 820 West Dunbar Road, West Columbia, SC 29170. Burial will follow the service at Southland Memorial Gardens.
