Toni was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Joyce Elaine March (Earhart) and Anthony Louis Sisti.
A true artist through and through, Toni was constantly creating and loved visiting art museums wherever she was. For 13 years, she shared her love of art with children at the Harbison Recreation Center in the role of Art Teacher. During this time, she earned a Bachelor’s of Art degree in 3D Art (cum laude) from the University of South Carolina in 2000. Creativity was an integral part of her daily life, and whether she was painting, cooking, or fussing over her plants, she brought her unique personality to everything around her. Her passion for art could be seen in her home and she passed that same love and appreciation to her children and grandchildren.
More than anything else in the world, Toni loved spending time with family as a loving wife, wonderful mother, and awesome grandma. If you listened like a fly on a wall while she interacted with her grandchildren, you would hear beautiful, loving conversations while she taught them and read to them with so much love.
For the last decade, Toni has helped manage our family businesses in Concord, NH. She was the bookkeeper for our family restaurant and dedicated a lot of her time to helping the businesses succeed even though this job was outside of her creative nature. With her husband, in 2014 Toni launched Apex Medical, LLC, primarily a lab services company. Just four months ago, she and Roland moved Apex to Blythewood, South Carolina—their past home of 13 years—as the company started expanding to the Carolinas. Toni pushed hard for this move as it re-united her with the family she loves so much. Unfortunately for all of us, Toni’s time on this earth was cut short.
Her family was blindsided and devastated by her passing. Toni is survived by her husband of 37 years, Roland Conrad Carantit of Blythewood, SC, her three children; Angel Michelle Drage of Matthews, SC, Samantha Elizabeth Spina and her husband Samuel of Burbank, CA, Anthony Roland Carantit and his wife, Michelle Lisa Carantit of Columbia, SC, Three grandchildren; Anna Grace Drage, Avery Jane Drage, and Vito Anthony Carantit.
Toni was a truly original, beautiful person who brought life and light into the space around her. Toni, Mom, Grandma; we miss you so much and we love you forever!
