Zackary Ryan Rose

Zackary was born on June 8, 1994, in Columbia, SC. He was a graduate of White Knoll High School and a lifelong resident of Lexington.

Zackary deeply loved his two daughters, Rivers Grace Rose and Maddison “Maddie” Faith Rose. They meant the world to him, and he was incredibly proud to be their father. He will be remembered for his kind heart, generous spirit, and unwavering willingness to help others.

When he was little, his mother lovingly called him “Stumpy” because he was short—a nickname that stuck until he outgrew it, both in size and spirit. It remains a cherished family memory that always brings a smile.

Zackary was the son of Walter “Buddy” Rose and Sheri Rose. He is survived by his two daughters, Rivers Grace Rose and Maddison “Maddie” Faith Rose; his brothers, Stephen Wesley Rose and Corey James Rose; his niece, Karleigh James Rose; his grandfather, Dene Nicholson; his grandmother, Carolyn Anderson; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Beverly Nicholson; great-grandmother, Matilda Rose; great-grandmother, Betty Goff; great-grandfather, Walter C. Rose; and great-grandfather, Earl R. Goff.

Zackary will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the honor of knowing and loving him.

A memorial service in loving memory of Zackary will be held on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Kittiwake Baptist Church, located at 420 Kitti Wake Drive, West Columbia, SC 29170. Family and friends are welcome to attend as we gather to honor and celebrate his life.
