Al was born in Germany on July 24, 1961 to Erna M. Windfelder Propst and Zannie O. Propst. He was a loving son, brother, father, pappy, uncle, and friend. Al spent 6 years in the Army from 1979-1985 as a nuclear X Ray tech. He was employed for many years and retired in 2015 from Walmart distribution Center in Opelika, Al. He enjoyed traveling, a variety of music, and any kind of sports. He played basketball while growing up, but always had a true passion for football, especially the Georgia Bulldogs. It would be said that he “ate, breathed, and lived UGA Bulldogs”. More than anything in this world, Al loved his family, and spending time with his three beautiful granddaughters.
His memory will be cherished by his loving family to include: his parents, Erna M. Propst and Zannie O. Propst; his daughter, Amanda N. Propst (Chris Clausen); granddaughters: Braelynn Grace, Brynlee Faith, and Emma Kaycee; sisters: Roswitha P. Propst and Dianna T. Propst; and nephew Andrew M. Judah; Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy can be shared at www.shcolumbus.com for the Propst Family.
