Marie was born in Brunswick, Georgia, on October 1, 1935, to the late James Oliver Davis, Sr. and Lola Mae Freeman Davis.
Marie worked for Montgomery Ward’s in the Accounts Payable Department for many years, serving with steady dedication and care.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Dean Martin, and by siblings Thomas Lewis Davis, Glenn Oliver Davis, James Oliver Davis, Jr, George Ray Davis, Sybal Louise Colley, and Bebe Jean Bucher.
Survivors include, daughters, Melissa “Missy” Herndon (Tim) and April Franke (Gary), grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Gardens of Calvary, 7595 Moon Rd., or Columbus Hospice, 7020 Moon Rd.
