Marie was born in Brunswick, Georgia, on October 1, 1935, to the late James Oliver Davis, Sr. and Lola Mae Freeman Davis.
Marie worked for Montgomery Ward’s in the Accounts Payable Department for many years, serving with steady dedication and care.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Dean Martin, and by siblings Thomas Lewis Davis, Glynn Oliver Davis, James Oliver Davis, Jr, George Ray Davis, Sybal Louise Colley, Bebe Jean Bucher and step-daughter Windy Martin Lupien.
Survivors include, step daughters, Melissa “Missy” Herndon (Tim) and April Franke (Gary), and their children and grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, that she dearly loved.
Graveside funeral services will be 11:00 am EST, Friday, March 27, 2026 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, AL.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Gardens of Calvary, 7595 Moon Rd., or Columbus Hospice, 7020 Moon Rd.
