A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 11:00 AM with Dr. Jimmy Elder officiating at The First Baptist Church of Columbus. Family will receive friends at the conclusion of the service in the fellowship hall of First Baptist Church.
Wayne was born in Clanton, Alabama on September 22, 1936 to the late Kinard Alvin Hardy and Delia Bice Hardy. He faithfully served his country in the United States Navy. Wayne was a graduate of the University of Alabama with a degree in metallurgical engineering and was a retired executive of Intermet Corp. He was married to his loving wife Mildred J. Hardy for 68 years. Wayne was a member of The First Baptist Church of Columbus where he was a member of the choir. He was an avid pilot, fisherman and wood craftsman.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred J. Hardy; his daughters, Lori Denham and her husband Steve of Columbus, Georgia and Joanie Rollier and her husband Tim of Midland, Georgia; his grandson, Patrick Crowley.
