Barbara Jean King

A graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, October 17, 2011 in the Main Post Cemetery at Ft. Benning, GA, with Father Frank Patterson officiating. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.

Mrs. King was born July 27, 1935 in Grand Rapids, MI daughter of the late Fredric and Goldie Rozel Mankel. She was a homemaker, and a catholic by faith.

Mrs. King was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, SGM (Ret.) Joe Edgar King.

Survivors include her three daughters, Jodina King of Columbus, GA, Marché Brown and her husband, Gordon of Corning, NY, and Carol King of Columbus, GA; four sons, Paul King and his wife, Barbara of Covington, GA, Jeff King and his wife, Jayne of Cumming, GA, Rex King and his wife, Jessica of Auburn, GA, and Philip King of Columbus, GA; four grandchildren, Chelsea King, Jeanie Jones, Philip King, Jr., and Kendall King; three great grandchildren.
