Barbara Preskitt, 88, of Columbus, GA passed away on Frida, December 29, 2023. Born March 5, 1935 in Columbus, GA, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Eugene and Helen (Tutherow) Pippin.

She enjoyed making wine, gardening, reading, dancing and loved the art of pickling and preserving.

Survivors include her son, Jerry (Jenny) Averill; her grandchildren, Zebulon and Charity; her great-grandchildren, Gabby, Phenix, and Harrison; her sisters, Julia Webster and Annie Jenkins. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, John Preskitt; her sisters, Ernestine, Shirley, Betty, and Martharene; and her brother, Earnest Jr.

A visitation for family and friends for Barbara will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary - Columbus, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, Georgia 31907, followed by a celebration of Barbara's life at 2:00 PM.
