Betty Helms Kirven, 84, of Columbus, GA, passed away at Columbus Hospice May 29, 2015. She was born December 29, 1930 in Ozark, AL, to her late parents Allen and Tinnie Tomblin Helms. Mrs. Kirven was a homemaker who loved to cook and spend time with her family and friends. Her Smile, Stories and one-liners will truly be missed by all.
A graveside Celebration of Betty’s Life will be Monday, June 1, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA, with Reverend Daniel Jones officiating, followed by a reception in the Mill Room of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA.
Along with her parents, Mrs. Kirven is preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Lawrence Kirven, Sr. She is survived by her son Lawrence (Joann) Kirven, Jr of Columbus, Ga; her daughter Patsy (John) Arwood of Columbus, GA; grandchildren, Richie Kirven, Neil Thom, Mark Kirven, Kelli Kirven, Paula Adame, Joe Adame, and Pamela Forrester; four great grandchildren, nieces, nephews other family members, and many friends.
