

Carna Jean Morgan Proctor, age 77, resident of Columbus, passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at her residence. Funeral services are scheduled at First Seventh Day Adventist Church on Thursday, July 27, 2017, 2 p.m. with Pastor Keith Trumbo officiating. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Proctor, daughter of the late Archibald Henry Morgan and Evelyn Mae Longman Morgan, was born February 6, 1940 in Chatham Ontario, Canada. She was retired from the school system, where she taught many dedicated years kindergarten through high school in both Canada and the United States. Mrs. Proctor was dedicated to her family and enjoyed quality time with them whenever she could. She also spent many hours volunteering her time at Valley Rescue Mission and the Homeless Task Force. She loved to paint and sing songs of faith. Mrs. Proctor also spent several hours tutoring neighborhood children.
She is survived by her husband, Garry Proctor of Columbus; two daughters, Cathy Proctor Kohne and her husband Raymond of Greeneville, Tennessee and Heidi Proctor Tarcea and her husband Nick of Hoschton, Georgia; one son, Jay Wesley Proctor and his wife EunYoung You of Daegu, South Korea; two grandchildren, Courtney and Carissa Kohne; two sisters-in-law, Edna Morgan and Donna Irwin; numerous nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
