Cecil Scott Irvin

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 18, 2011 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Macon Road Chapel, 4071 Macon Road. Rev. John C. Boyer and Rev. Betty Jackson will officiate with interment in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Mr. Irvin was born July 14, 1963 in LaGrange, GA the son of Jesse C. and Nancy N. Irvin. He had lived in Columbus most of his life and was the business manager of Columbus Technical College.

Mr. Irvin was a member of Morningside Presbyterian Church, a devoted Auburn Alumni member, and past member of the Sertoma Club. Scott was an avid golfer and former CSU tennis player.

Survivors include his parents, Jesse C. and Nancy N. Irvin of Midland; three siblings, Chris and Angela Irvin, Robert and Dide Irvin, and Donna and Bill Stohr; six nieces and nephews, Allie Morgan Irvin, Robert Gilliam, Madeline-Jane Irvin, Sarah Elizabeth Stohr, Lexie Nann Stohr, and Samuel Irvin Stohr; his beloved pet, Harley; numerous aunts and uncles.
