Charles "Chuck" Edward Pearce, age 72, of Buena Vista, Georgia, formerly of Greenville, Mississippi, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at Piedmont Regional Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 26, 1952 in Yazoo County in Bentonia, Mississippi, he was the son of the late Ruby Edward and Margarette Ogalia (Stokes) Pearce.
Chuck was a proud U.S. Army Veteran and retired as 1SG in Jacksonville, South Carolina after 24 years of service. During his military career, he was one of the original members of the Bradley Nett Team and served during Operation Desert Storm. He was a Halo Instructor and he was also a Basic Training Drill 1SG for 5 years. After retirement, he worked as a Private Land Surveyor for 4 years, then as a Truck Driver for 5 years. Finally, he worked as security detail for a private military contract company serving in Kosovo, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia. Brother Chuck was a member of the Masonic Lodge Hermon #304. He enjoyed woodworking, playing his acoustic guitar, and singing. He loved football and was a huge fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and the Dallas Cowboys.
In addition to his parents, Chuck is preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Frances (Pell) Pearce; his niece, Tammy Polk; and his brother-in-law, Roger Polk. Survivors include his wife, Zeda Denise (Clark) Pearce; his children, Chandra M. (Steven) Davis, and Christopher E. (Barbora) Pearce; his stepson, Timothy C. (Natalie) Stonestreet; his grandchildren; Cameron Davis, Dylon (Elizabeth) Davis, Zander Davis, Kallen Pearce, Harlowe Pearce, Timothy Stonestreet II, Samuel Stonestreet, Jasmine Stonestreet, and Daniella Rapier; his great-grandchildren, Eleanor Rapier and Ellis Rapier; his sisters, Shirley Shirley and Ruby Polk; his nieces, Faith Lee and Sunshine Ford; his nephew, Blue (Marina) Schwarzbach; his great-nieces, Tiffany (Matt) Foster, Chastitie (Joshua) Kraus, Bailee Polk, Skylie Schwarzbach, and Cheyenne Ford; his great-nephews, Justin Schwarzbach and Phoenix Ford; as well as a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Graveside Service with Military Honors and Masonic Service will be held at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery, 553 Highway 165, Fort Mitchell, AL 36856 on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at 10:00am. Family will visit with friends at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Edgewood Hall, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA 31907 on Sunday, November 3, 2024 from 4:00PM to 6:00PM. Flowers are welcome.
