Charles Sizemore

Charles E. Sizemore, age 75, of Box Springs, Georgia, passed away on December 20, 2017. A visitation will be held on Friday, December 22, 2017 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, and prior to services at the church 11:00 am until 11:50 am. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 12 noon at Mount Paran Primitive Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery following services.

Charles was born on October 16, 1942, the son of Roy Sizemore and Gena Lee Mayo Sizemore, Charles has lived in the area all his life, graduating from Talbot County High School in 1961. He worked on Fort Benning in the Civil Service for 27 years in telecommunications. During this time he worked as a contractor in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents; Roy Sizemore and Gena Lee Mayo Sizemore; a daughter, Dawn Sizemore; two brothers, James and Thomas Sizemore; two sisters, Wilma Barker and Emily Karsten. Survivors include his wife Hanmin; two sons, Charles Sizemore Jr., Phillip Sizemore, four grandchildren, Devyn, Jacob, Megan, Heather; and one sister Margret Adams.
