Christopher was born July 21,1977 in Columbus. He spent many years as an officer with the Columbus Police Department, and a devout Christian.
He was preceded in death by his materal grandfather, Billy Lee Dyer. Christopher is survived by his daughter, Haley Elizabeth Hattaway of Midland, Georgia; his mother, Peggy Lee of Midland, Georgia; his father, Wayne Hattaway of Salem, Alabama; his sister, Misty Derourn and her husband of Columbus; his maternal grandmother, Ginko Dyer of Midland, Georgia; his paternal grandparents, Robert and Faye Hattaway of Salem, Alabama; special aunt and uncle, Nancy and Michael Campbell of Navarre, Florida; special cousins, Joshua, Jacob, and Jessica; many other relatives and friends.
