Claudia Harman

Claudia Brooks Bentley Harman, 74, passed away June 22, 2015 in the loving care of Columbus Hospice. She was born October 29, 1940 in Columbus, GA to her late parents, Benjamine and Frances Brooks. Mrs. Harman graduated from Columbus High School and was a member of The National Honor Society. She attended Auburn University, The University of Hawaii Honolulu, Oahu, and graduated from Stephens College, Columbia, Missouri. Mrs. Harman’s career was in the Continuing Education Division of Dalton College, Dalton, GA, and Columbus State University, Columbus, GA.

The family will receive guests for visitation Wednesday, June 24, 2015 6:00-8:00 pm in the St. Elmo Room of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA. Funeral Services will be June 25, 2015 1:00pm at St. Luke United Methodist Church, 1104 2nd Ave, Columbus, GA, followed by interment at Parkhill Cemetery, with Reverend Robert Beckum officiating.

Along with her parents, Mrs. Harman is preceded in death by her husband Robert Harman; her brother, Ben T Brooks, Jr., and her nephew, Ben T. Brooks, III. She is survived by three sons; Allen (Sarah) Bentley of Dalton, GA, Keith(Lori Reed) Bentley of Columbus, GA, and Chris (Jennifer) Bentley of Dalton, GA; two granddaughters, Melanie Virginia Bentley, and Brooke Victoria Bentley; two grandsons, Steven Thomas Bentley, and Jordan Allen Bentley, and many friends and other family members.
