

David Brown, born on June 14, 1959, in Columbus, Georgia, passed away on February 14, 2026, at the age of 66. A beloved member of his community, David's life was marked by dedication, family, and a passion for his interests.
David graduated from Glenwood High School in 1977 and went on to obtain an associate's degree from Columbus Technical College. He worked as a products receiver for Advanced Auto Parts for nine years, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to his career.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Hudie "Cousin Al" Brown and Dorothy N. Brown, as well as his siblings, Donald W. Sparkman (Sherolyn) and Linda S. Sparkman. He is survived by his sister, Karen Clarke; his nephew and niece-in-law, Bryndan Clarke (Liz); his nieces, Kaitlyn Clarke and Sarah Clarke; and his cousins, Phyllis and Jackie Farmer.
A man of varied interests, David loved the Georgia Bulldogs and Braves baseball. He was an enthusiast of sketching and drawing and had a deep appreciation for music, particularly The Beatles, 70's music, and KISS. Known as a trivia guru, he cherished his family and took great joy in exploring his own family history.
David was a dedicated member of Cascade Hill's Church for 16 years, where he was an active participant in community life.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00am Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Cascade Hill's Church, 727 54th St, Columbus, GA 31904.
