David Earl Register, born April 12th, 1950 in Graceville, Florida to Lee Register and Grace (Register) Davis, was called to his heavenly home January 30th, 2021. Mr. Register was at The Columbus Hospice House at the time of his passing.
Mr. Register was preceded in death by both of his parents; a brother, Danny Register; and his precious great-granddaughter, Raelyn Martin.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 53 years, Joann Register, his son, David L. Register (Lynette) of Thomaston, GA; as well as two daughters, Lisa Esco (M) of Phenix City, Alabama and Diane Thomason (Buster) of Box Springs, GA; and a brother, Gerald Register (Carolyn) of Dothan, AL. He also is survived by 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
The legacy left behind by David is one that exemplifies a Godly man, a compassionate man, a soft spoken man who was dedicated to his GOD first and foremost and his FAMILY. His passion was picking his guitar and singing in church every chance he was given.
Mr. Register was employed with the Bibb Mill for 32 years. After the mill closed he went to work with First Baptist Church where he would retire after 20 years of service.
