It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Deborah Hunt, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Easily picked out of a crowd due to her stunning red hair and equally vibrant spirit, she lit up every room she entered and left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
A trusted small business owner since 1990, Deborah owned and operated Copytowne Printing as it flourished into a cornerstone of the South Columbus community. Her patient and kind approach toward her customers and her ever-present smile made her not only a reliable business partner but also a friend to all.
Above all, Deborah was a fiercely devoted mother who poured everything she had into supporting her children. She was immensely proud of their accomplishments and was their biggest cheerleader, celebrating their successes with endless love and encouragement. She will forever be remembered as the best mom in the world.
She is survived by her two children, Orion and his wife Marion, and Olivia and her husband Colby. She is also survived by her parents, Ruth and Ramon, her sister Pia, her longtime partner Walter, and all of her customers throughout her 35 year career.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in her memory to the East Alabama Humane Society in Phenix City, as a reflection of her caring nature and endless generosity.
A memorial service for Deborah Hunt will be held on Saturday, December 6th, 2025 at 10:30am at Asbury United Methodist Church, 2312 Ellen Ave, Columbus, GA 31903. We hope you’ll join us to share your memories, love, and support as we celebrate a life that meant so much to us.
“Don’t hurry, don’t worry, and don’t forget to smell the flowers”.
