Doris Bush Hudson

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of The Pines Mausoleum in Parkhill Cemetery with Dr. Kevin Calhoun officiating according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4070 Macon Road, Columbus, GA, 31907. The family will greet family and friends following the service at the mausoleum.

Mrs. Hudson was born December 25, 1926 in Dooley County, GA, daughter of the late Thomas Levy and Sarah Lindsey Bush.

Mrs. Hudson was the lunch room manager at Jordan High School. She retired from the Muscogee County School District after 30 years of dedicated service. Mrs. Hudson was also a member of Hilton Terrace Baptist Church and the Agape Sunday School Class.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hudson was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Edwin Hudson, three brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include her son, Thomas E. Hudson, DDS, and his wife Susan of Columbus, GA; her daughter, Patricia (Patsy) H. Maner and her husband, Lynn of Deland, FL; her grandchildren, Jason Hudson and his wife, Katie of Roswell, GA, Jeffrey Hudson and his wife, Michelle of Columbus, GA, Joel Maner of Durham, NC and Jan Watson and her husband, Casey of Deland, FL; her great-grandchildren, Blaney, J.T., and Bowen Hudson of Roswell, GA, Taylor Watson of Deland, FL, Ella and Avery Hudson of Columbus, GA.

The family would like to sincerely thank the staff of The Green House at Calvary for their kind and loving care.
