Dorothy Childs Wolf

Dorothy Childs Wolf, 86, passed away on June 25, 2013.  Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, June 28, 2013, at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Rd., Columbus, GA with Dr. James C. Elder officiating.  Burial will follow in Parkhill Cemetery.  The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. 

Mrs. Wolf was born September 29, 1926, in Yatesville, GA to the late William J. Childs and Mamie Mathews Childs. Mrs. Wolf retired as a Vice-President of Georgia Federal Bank, and was a member of First Baptist Church, Columbus, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Ray Wolf, Sr. and a son, Edwin Ray Wolf, Jr.

Survivors include her son, Terry Wolf and his wife, Cindy of Lilburn, GA; a daughter-in-law, Saralyn Wolf of Lawrenceville, GA; three grandchildren, Britt Wolf and his wife, Kelly of Gainesville, GA, Kenneth Wolf and his wife, Alejandra of Buford, GA and Michael Wolf of Smyrna, GA; three great-grandchildren, Lincoln Wolf, Georgia Rai Wolf and Owen Wolf; two sisters, Claudia Brescia of Columbus, GA and Anne Griggs of Dublin, GA; a sister-in-law, June Wolf of Buena Vista, GA, and numerous nieces and nephews.
