Earl Jack Daughtry

Graveside funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 13, 2011 in Parkhill

Cemetery according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, GA. The family will receive

friends this afternoon from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Daughtry was born in Newton, AL. on November 3, 1926 to the late Walter M. Daughtry

and Vergie Searcy Daughtry. He was an area resident since 1947 and retired as a Foreman

from Bibb Mill after 29 years of service. After his retirement he served as a Supervisor for

the Talbot County Water Department. Mr. Daughtry was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II

and a former member of Oates Avenue Baptist Church. Mr. Daughtry was preceded in death

by his first wife, Sybil Benefield Daughtry and his second wife, Shirley Brock Daughtry, three

brothers and a sister.

Survivors include his two daughters, Reba Castleberry of Fortson, GA.

and Sandra Woodall of Thomaston, GA. two sons, Roger Daughtry of Waverly Hall, GA. and

Randall Daughtry of Peachtree City, GA. 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
