Graveside services for Momma will be 3:00 pm, Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Parkhill Cemetery with Reverend Glen Presley officiating, according to Striffler-Hamby 4071 Macon Road Columbus.
Visitation will be held at 2:00 pm, on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at the funeral home.
Edna LaMerle Simpson was born March 17, 1929 in Cataula, Georgia to the late Mt. Zion Carver and Maggie Skates Carver. In addition to her parents Mrs. Simpson was preceded in death by her husband, David R. Simpson, a granddaughter, Amanda Simpson, and a son-in-law, Andrew Wyrick. She was a woman of the greatest faith. A loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her children, Daughters; Rebecca (Grant) Herrington, Joyce (Greg) Cathey, Ester (Jose) Morales, Lisa (Jason) Hendrix, two sons; Marcus (Bonny) Simpson, and Phillip Simpson, 17 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, and nephews.
