A chapel service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA 31907 with Reverend Jeffery Woodhams officiating. Interment will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Waters was born June 18, 1921 in Spartanburg, SC, daughter of the late Kimsey Joe and Emily Eldridge Ledford. She was a seamstress and a member of Waverly Hall Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara L. Waters; sister, Ruth E. Matlock; brother, Hubert T. Ledford; nephew, Edwin O. Matlock, Jr.; niece, Carol L. Segrest and her husband, Robert; great niece, Melinda M. Chester and her husband, Joseph.
