Born, raised, and educated all in Columbus, she was the eldest of four girls born to the late Buford and Goldie Peed Craft.
She is predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Willard Mack “Bill” Broderick, Sr.; her parents; and her sisters, June Newman, Mary Ann Meche, and Brenda Hovey.
Surviving is her daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Mike Babb; son and daughter-in-law, Bill Jr. and Vickey Broderick; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Mel Broderick; granddaughter and husband, Kelli and Jonathan Carnes; great-grandsons, Beau and Levi Carnes; and her best friends, Rachel Benefield and Dot Cote.
Nicknamed “Bebe” by her beloved granddaughter, she was an accomplished seamstress and avid vegetable gardener in her younger years. She also enjoyed her time helping family friends by waitressing at Linwood Lunchroom serving her special customers. In her later years, she was an accomplished “Circle-the-Number” enthusiast and avid recumbent bike rider. She also enjoyed singing to her 40’s and 50’s hits and pulling for the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves. Her greatest joy, however, was to laugh and joke and be with her family and friends.
A special thanks to those members of her Columbus Hospice team, especially Debbie Spencer, Teresa Moore, Allison Owen, Micah Chandler, and Randi Davis, who provided exceptional care to Bebe and helped guide the family through the final days of her care.
She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
