

Frances Norfolk LaLonde Wrenn of Columbus, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 after a prolonged illness. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at 3 p.m., with Father Daniel O’Connell officiating. Family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday, October 27, 2013 from 2-3 p.m.
Frances was born in Watertown, New York. She was the daughter of the late Ralph and Grace Burns Norfolk and was the second of 11 children. Frances graduated from Immaculate Heart Academy. She married the late R.P. (Pete) LaLonde and moved to Titusville, Florida, where their three children were born. They lived there for 17 years before relocating to Columbus, Georgia. After the death of her children’s father, she married Jerry Wrenn of Columbus, Georgia. They successfully created Durty Wurks, Inc., a landscape material business.
Other than her parents and her first husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Patrick Norfolk; sisters, Mary Traylor and June Gilford; and mother-in-law, Espie Wrenn. Survivors include a son, Michael (Julie) LaLonde of Apopka, Florida; two daughters, Sherrie (Tommy) Meadows of Fortson, Georgia and Nicole (Lee) Griffith of Auburn, Georgia; two brothers, Richard (Liz) Norfolk and Fred (Marlene) Norfolk; five sisters, Sylvia (John) Nelson, Jolene Allen, Dorothy (Bob) Morse, Barbara (Al) Riccio, Michele (Ray) Miller; father-in-law, Clyde Wrenn; two step-daughters, Tonya (Mark) Henderson of Enterprise, Alabama and Kimberly Reynolds of Newnan, Georgia; grandchildren, Christopher and Shelby LaLonde, Madeline Meadows and her fiancé Shaun Cannie, Abbie Meadows, Cameron, Zachary, Chase and Sydney Griffith; step-granddaughter, Amberlee York; step-grandson, Jake Reynolds; great-grandson, Jordan York; lifelong friend, Betty Nelson; many other relatives and friends.
