George Daniel Joyner Sr., age 63, of Box Springs, GA passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023. Born November 28, 1959 in Frankford, Germany, he was the son of the late Paul Daniel and Julia Belle Joyner.

He worked as an electrician with International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers 613.

Survivors include his children, George Daniel Joyner Jr. of Box Springs, GA, Jonathan Michael Joyner of Powder Springs, GA, and Gwendolyn Renee Treece of Powder Springs, GA; his sisters, Linda Gail Kirby of Box Springs, GA, and Angela Bell Warner of Galesburg, MI; 13 grandkids and 1 great-grandkid. In addition to his parents, George is preceded in death by his wife, Sherrill (Scarborough) Joyner.

Graveside Service will be held at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Road, Columbus, GA 319017 on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 10:00AM. Rev. Mike Reeves will be officiating. Family will visit with friends at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA 31907 on Friday, June 30, 2023 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.
