Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday , February 12, 2015 in the Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA. with Reverend Jason Cardwell officiating. A private family burial will follow in Girard Cemetery, Phenix City, AL.
Mrs. Thomas was born December 6, 1924 in Columbus, GA. to the late Josiah Wesley Fell, Sr. and Emma Verna Griggs Fell. She was a lifelong area resident and a former member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Phenix City, AL. Her husband Harvey E. “Buster” Thomas, a daughter, Susan Luitjens and her siblings preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Harvey E. “Butch” Thomas, Jr. of Fortson, GA. a daughter, Margaret Funk (Al) of Norcross, GA. numerous nieces and nephews to include, Dot Kelly of Columbus, Josephine Cullifer of Columbus, Michael Leukhardt of Stone Mountain, GA and Billy Ray Jorgensen of Columbus and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
