Ryan was born on April 2, 1990 in Columbus, GA, the son of Gregory Lewis Hanson and Lynda Hilbrand. Ryan grew up in the Columbus area and graduated from Northside High School in 2008. After graduation he became a machinist, and he worked at Pratt Whitney for several years. Ryan was a good soul, he was caring, and he was loving. Ryan loved his grandmother Joelle’s French accent; he would laugh and enjoy it. He would try to speak it with her, and more laughter and enjoyment would ensue. Ryan was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan, he rarely turned down an opportunity to go fishing, and he thoroughly enjoyed going to the beach. These passions were only made better when they were shared with family and friends whom he dearly loved.
Ryan is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Donald Michael Hanson and Dorothy Ellis Hanson; and an uncle, Michael Ellis Hanson.
Survivors include his mother, Lynda Hilbrand; his father, Gregory L. (Kimberly) Hanson; his brother, Michael (Christine) Hanson; his fiancé, Rachel Lamar; his maternal grandparents, Peter & Joelle Hilbrand; his aunts, Nadine Hilbrand, Barbara Hanson, Marilyn (Doug) Grant; his uncles, James Ronald Stroud and Pastor Stephen Stroud; numerous family members and friends that will cherish his memory.
