James Lee, 76, of Smith Station, Alabama, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026. A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery, 553 AL-165, Fort Mitchell, AL 36856.
James was born on February 24, 1950 in Ohio to Bessie and Clayton Lee. He spent 21 years serving in the United States Air Force and in the Vietnam War. In his free time he enjoyed wood working, motorcycles and remote controlled airplanes and drones.
He is survived by his step daughters, Cheryl Pron, Terre Slaubaugh, and Yolanda Steinruck; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Yolanda Lee; his parents, Clayton and Bessie Lee; and his step sons, David Arredondo and Bobby Boyce.
