I first remember Jane at VBS at First Baptist around 1942. She had corkscrew curls and sang a solo: "Jesus Loves Me." I also lived on 2nd Ave., and we were in Sunday School, Young People's Choir and BTU together for many years. I also knew her mother and most of her sisters, especially Margaret and Augusta, and her brother, Walter. Jane was beautiful, smart, funny and an extremely responsible and hardworking school girl all the years I knew her. One special memory is the summer we spent hours swimming at the CFA's Evergreen pool--she was always a little better swimmer than I was--practicing water ballets in the icy cold water. I'm sorry to have lost touch with her, but have always considered her one of my oldest and dearest friends.

I am so sorry.  Jane was a friend to everybody.   We grew up together at First Baptist Church.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family during this most difficult time. May God continue to surround you love and peace
