Jeanette Maurine Barfield

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, GA with Reverend Seth Hon officiating. Interment to follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Jeanette was born in River Junction, FL on November 22, 1926 but has lived in Columbus most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Lester and Bessie Taylor Bullock. Jeanette was a longtime member of Grace Baptist Church and was retired from Southern Foods. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Barfield, daughters, Linda Barfield Grizzard and Dianne Barfield Davis, and a son, James "Butch" Barfield.

Jeanette is survived by a son, Willie Barfield of Perrysburg, OH, 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
