She was predeceased by her husband Bobby Powell, whom she was married to for 37 years.
Mrs. Powell was employed at Bibb and Swift Mills. A member of Second Baptist Church for over 50 years, where she supported the youth groups, and the Women’s ministries.
She is survived by her daughter Susan (Jill) Powell and her grandson Joshua (Coley) Fineout all of Columbus, GA. As well as many extended family and lifelong friends.
A funeral service in memory of Jeannette will take place on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at 3:00 PM in the St. Elmo room at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Columbus, Georgia, 31907.
