Funeral services will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Golden Acres Baptist Church, Phenix City, AL., with Dr. Ray Cummings officiating according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary 4071 Macon Road Columbus. Burial will follow in Parkhill Cemetery.

Visitation for Reverend Halstead will be from 6-8 pm, Friday, November 18, 2011 at the funeral home.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Ruedon Halstead, Sr.

Survivors include his mother, Betty Ann Halstead, a daughter, Tiffany Hughey and her husband Jonathon, two brothers, Jimmy Halstead and his wife Bettie Jo, Jeff Halstead and his wife Darlene, a niece, April Hocutt, and a nephew, Jeffery Halstead and one granddaughter, Elah Hughey, an aunt, Jeanette Harvey and two special friends, Frank and Kathy Mahana and several special caregivers from Russell County Home Health and Vista Care Hospice.

Pallbearers will be, Jimmy and Jeff Halstead, Scott Crowley, Danny Minor, Jeff Honnell and Mark Roughton.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Mills, Jackson Hill, Ben Mooney and Frank Mahana.
