
Jesse Randall Dasher, 70, of Waverly Hall, Georgia died on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Midtown Medical Center surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born on May 19, 1944 in Tattnall County, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Randall Dasher and Myrtle Waters Dasher.
He is survived by his wife of twenty-five years, Yong Ae Dasher; his son, Pastor Jessie Randall (Ronny Jean) Dasher II of Griffin, Georgia; his daughter, Tracie Tarel (Brandon Elex) Waters of Brooklet, Georgia; son Tracy Anthony Laverdiere of Loganville, Georgia; four grandchildren: granddaughter, Brianna Shane Dasher;grandson, Alexander David Dasher; grandson, Kaiden Maddox Laverdiere; granddaughter Elizabeth Claire Waters; four sisters:Jacklyn Kicklighter of Raeford, North Carolina; Virginia (Van) Moore of Glennville, Georgia; Wilma Shaw of Ludowici, Georgia;O’Ann (Lance) Fischer of Pensacola, Florida; and several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation for Mr. Dasher was held on Friday, December 5th, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Striffler-Hamby Funeral Home located at 4071 Macon Road, in Columbus, Georgia. Funeral services were on Saturday, December 6, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. in Edgewood Hall also at Striffler-Hamby. Burial was at Parkhill Cemetery adjacent to the funeral home. Reverend Morris Lewark officiated.
Mr. Dasher was owner of Dasher Enterprises, a contracting and construction company in Columbus, Georgia and Ft. Benning, Georgia. As a farmer’s son, he liked to demonstrate cane grinding for the local community. He and his wife grew the cane on their farm, along with other fruits and vegetables; also keeping a small chicken coop.
Pallbearers were: Jesse Randall Dasher II, Alexander David Dasher, Tracy Anthony Laverdiere, Brandon Elex Waters, Frank Kicklighter, and Mark Kicklighter. Honorary Pallbearer was: Kaiden Maddox Laverdiere.
