Jessie L. Simmons-Holland

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at 11:00 am in Parkhill Cemetery.

Jessie Lee Simmons-Holland was born in Columbus, GA on June 15, 1927; the daughter of Rucius M. Dimon and Mamie Lee Stevens Dimon.

She lived in Columbus all of her life and was a member of Wynnbrook Baptist Church.

Mrs. Simmons-Holland was employed by Swift Spinning Mills, Swift Textile, Striffler-Hamby Mortuary and Bed and Bath.

Jessie is preceded in death by: her husbands, Robert W. Simmons and Albert C. Holland; her son, Steve E. Simmons; three brothers, Willie J. Dimon, Andrew H. Dimon and Julius R. Dimon; two sisters, Arminta D. Pelfery and Lucretia D. Tillery.

Survivors include: several step children, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Columbus Fort Moore Shrine Clubs crippled children fund or to Wynnbrook Baptist Church.
