Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday August 27, 2010 in Parkhill Cemetery according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA 31907. Father Scott Winchel will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Delaney was born July 25, 1933 in Watertown, NY son of the late Herbert John Delaney and Vivian Mae LaForty Delaney. He was retired from Ft. Benning as Area Personal Services Manager and a U.S. Army and Air Force veteran of Korea and Vietnam.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothea Delaney of Columbus, 2 brothers, Charles Delaney and David Dulac both of New Jersey, 2 grandchildren, Shannon Saiz of Nashville, TN, Carrie Carter of San Angelo, TX, a great granddaughter, Rachel Carter of San Angelo, TX, several nieces and nephews.
