Joseph Freeman Moody

A viewing and short memorial service will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary in Columbus, GA. The viewing will begin at 11:30am ET for family and at 12pm ET for anyone else wishing to attend. Graveside services will be held on Friday December 10, 2021 at 2pm ET at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, AL.

Mr. Moody was born on January 28, 1944 in Columbus, GA, son of the late Joseph Green Moody and Margaret Lee Kellam Moody. He was a Navy veteran of Vietnam, a retired Education Supervisor for the State of Florida’s Correctional system, and a devout Christian. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Betsy Griggs, Agnes Crutchfield, Naomi Bloom, and Mary Andrews, and his brother James Moody.

He was survived by two wives, Deborah Ann Dailey Moody and Donna Moody; son, Joseph Aaron Moody; sister, Lorene Turman, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
