Judith was born on May 5, 1940, in Omaha, Nebraska. She later graduated from Anaheim High School in California in 1958. Throughout her life, Judith was known for her strong work ethic and caring nature. She worked for many years as a deli and catering manager, and in her earlier years, she also served as an assistant teacher in an elementary school classroom, where she helped care for and nurture young children.
In 2005, Judith and her beloved husband of more than 30 years, Bob King, retired and moved from California to Georgia. There, they built a full and happy life centered around family, living within walking distance of their children and cherishing the time spent together.
She is survived by her three children: William Allen Edmonton; Lisa Marie Thompson Edrington; and Kathleen May Edrington Lopez. Her family was the center of her world, and she loved them deeply. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and many others who lovingly considered her “Grandma Judy”—a title she cherished and wouldn’t have had any other way. Judith also adored her numerous nieces and nephews, holding each of them close to her heart. Her children were all happily married to their spouses for many years, a testament to the strong foundation of love and family she helped create.
Although Judith did not regularly attend church, she was a Christian who held a strong and personal faith. She believed in the promise of the ever after and found comfort in knowing she would one day be reunited with her family, including her siblings and her beloved sister who went before her.
The impact of Judith’s life reached far beyond her immediate family. She was known for her happy and kind spirit, always willing to help anyone in need and to love deeply and without hesitation. She touched the lives of so many, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, generosity, and unwavering love.
She will be deeply missed—more than words can ever express. We love you always and forever, and you will remain in our hearts for the rest of our lives.
