Mrs. Snellings was born April 20, 1924 in Dalton, Georgia, the daughter of the late Reverend William Leo and Blanche Strange Jolley. She was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Joseph P. Jolley, Watson Jolley and three sisters, Martha Berard, Louise Brown and Mays Winchester.
Julia was a homemaker and was married to the late Dr. Schley Daughtry Snellings for almost sixty years. She was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church of Columbus.
Mrs. Snellings is survived by her two daughters, Julia Anne Snellings and Susan Snellings St. John and her husband Rick and one granddaughter, Daughtry Grace St. John.
The family would like to thank those who cared for her at home, Willene Irvin and Yavette Williams and her caregivers at Canterbury Health Care.
