In celebrating the vibrant life of Katherine "Kathy" Chipman Bush, we remember a remarkable woman who brought joy and grace to every corner of her world. Born on July 10, 1945 in Macon, GA to the late Dr. Raymond Chipman, Sr. and Millie Chipman, Kathy's journey was one of love, service, and unwavering faith.
Kathy, a proud graduate of Columbus High School, dedicated her professional career as an Office Manager for Chipman-Harris, MD, leaving an indelible mark on her community. Her commitment to faith was evident in her membership at Aletheia Church, where she found solace and shared her warmth with fellow members.
A true patriot, Kathy was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), showcasing her love for her country and its rich history. Her involvement extended to the Christian Fellowship Association (CFA), where she served on the Board, embodying her dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of others.
Kathy's love knew no bounds, and her family was the cornerstone of her existence. She leaves behind her devoted husband Ronnie H. Bush, daughters Shannon Whittington (Charlie) and Amber Bannister (Harry), and four cherished grandsons – Tanner, Walker, Tripp, and Beaux. Her brothers, Raymond Chipman Jr and Dr. Dean Chipman (Wendy), share in the grief of losing such a beloved sister.
Funeral services, a time to honor and remember Kathy, will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 11, 2024, in the Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, with Dr. Eddie Pullen officiating. Graveside services will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will take place on Wednesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
